This was a two-story wood structure which was classified as a soft story building. It was retrofitted by installing moment frame in one direction and concentric brace frame in the other direction. Finished work was done in such a way that seismic work was completely concealed leaving the property owner satisfied with the finished project.

This is a one story reinforced masonry building with flexible diaphragm that was retrofitted in 2009.  Walls were anchored to the roof to create a positive connection.  Continuity ties and or drag smut were provided to develop anchor forces into the diaphragm.

The Guadalupe Hardware Company was a one story unreinforced masonry building. It was retrofitted by installing anchors all around the perimeters of the roof. The roof diaphragm was reinforced by adding ½ inch thick plywood on the top of the existing 1x6 sheating. Two steel moment resisting frames were installed at the open front and forty feet away inside the building. The back windows were infilled and reinforced with bricks, steel and concrete.
